2011 Women’s History Month Conference
The Naked Truth: Women’s Struggles and Triumphs Exposed
The Women’s History Month committee has prepared a day-long conference to take place on Wednesday March 23 2011, in the Union Cinema at the University of Texas at El Paso.
The Women’s History Month Conference is created as a venue for dialogue about women’s issues and activism through scholarly work. The purpose of this conference is to address and contemplate the herstory of women inside and outside of academia. We have invited activists, scholars, and artists in all fields to present panels, papers, and workshops. All students/faculty/staff is encouraged to attend this conference and engage in different panels throughout the day. This year we will be screening the new and must see film The Heretics and writer/director Joan Braderman will be our key note speaker.
