The Impact Project: Women’s Mentoring Program UPDATE

The Impact Project: Women’s Mentoring Program

After receiving a grant from the Social Justice Initiative through the Department of Communication, the Women’s Resource Center implemented a new program called the Impact Project.  A mentoring program designed for women in the community and the university.

On Thursday, January 13, 2011 the pilot program of thirteen mentees and thirteen mentors met for the first time! The Impact Project is designed to involve women attending the university to form mentoring relationships with women faculty, staff, and professionals from the community and engage in personal and professional development. The Social Justice Initiative and the Women’s Resource Center hope to implement and provide a network where women can create a climate of change and support for their university, city, and culture.

Here are some pictures of the kick off day!
