Ready, Set, Lead- Women In Charge
United Way of El Paso County’s Young Leaders Society and Senator Eliot Shapleigh’s office is proud to host the 2nd Annual El Paso Young Professionals’ Capitol Retreat. This year’s retreat will provide young professionals in our community the opportunity to gain insight on issues regarding: Smart Growth, New Urbanism, Financial Stability, Education, Technology, and Renewable Energy. Participants will also exchange ideas, brainstorm, give advice, and learn how to implement what they’ve learned to make El Paso a better community.
On Saturday, August 21st, retreat participants will be provided with a glimpse of the new city plan and then tour by bike the ongoing revitalization efforts. In Austin the following weekend, young professionals will hear from business leaders, elected officials and other experts. The group will also participate in developing a plan for El Paso.
