Miner Alert System

Miner Alert is the University’s emergency alert notification system and used to immediately contact you during urgent or emergency situations with useful information and updates by sending text messages to your:

 

E-mail account (work, home, other)

Wireless device (cell phone, Smartphone)

 

Be sure to register your cell phone at the Miner Alert Website: my.utep.edu/myhome.aspx

 

Conduct Weekly Tests of Your Cell Phone

Testing your phone and e-mail connectivity to Miner Alert is easy and only takes a moment.

To test your connectivity to Miner Alert, log into MYUTEP.edu, go to My Home, click on the Miner Alert icon, log into Miner Alert using your MYUTEP.edu username and password, then click on the Test icon.

 

We encourage the UTEP community to conduct a weekly test on their cell phone.
