Biography: Catie McCorry-Andalis was born in Falls Church, Virginia but spent most of her years in Northern, California. It is here that she attended Notre Dame de Namur University (formerly College of Notre Dame) and received both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees. Although originally wanting to be a teacher, Catie’s involvement in a variety of leadership experiences as an undergrad propelled her into the field of Student Affairs. Over the years, Catie has worked in a variety of areas within the field including Housing and Residence Life, New Student Orientation, Judicial Affairs, Leadership Programs, International Programs, Women’s Resources and Student Activities. Catie has also worked at several institutions including Marymount College, California State University East Bay, Chapman University, Pepperdine University and Menlo College before arriving at the University of Texas at El Paso.
Catie enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, traveling, and experiencing new restaurants.

Biography: A native of Shreveport, LA, holds an MA in Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of Maryland-College Park as well as an MA in Bilingual/Bicultural Studies from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Holmes also participated in both the Basic Judicial Track and Basic Mediation Track offered during the ASJA Donald D. Gehring Campus Judicial Affairs Institute in 2005 and 2006 respectively, and he later served as Mediation Faculty (2008) and Training Institute Faculty (2009) for the ASJA Donald D. Gehring Academy for Student Conduct Administration. He currently serves at the Vice-chair for outreach for the ACPA College Student Educators International’s Commission for Social Justice Educators and will serve as the 2011 Conference Chair for the Association for Student Conduct Administration. Finally, Mr. Holmes was recognized as an emerging scholar with the Annuit Coeptis Award given by ACPA College Student Educators International (2007).

Biography: Kathy Luna-Quattlebaum has worked in the Office of Student Life (formerly Dean of Students Office) here at UTEP since 2001. She is an El Paso native and graduated from Irvin High School. She received her Associate of Applied Science degree and Honors Award for Outstanding Student at Weatherford College.

Biography: Julie Cooper has worked in the Office of Student Life here at UTEP since June 2009 and with UTEP since 1999. She is an El Paso native and graduated from Austin High School. She received her Associates Degree as a Paralegal in July of 1991 in Houston, Texas.

Career Goal: I wish to live a fulfilling career life through service. The biggest achievement that can be obtained in life is knowing that you served to the ultimate length of your capacity. Therefore, my career in education will be lived under the banner of service and commitment.

Tip for Student Success: The saying “You reap what you sow” is very true. In every situation in life if one is aware of the seeds that one is sowing, and the land in which they are planted, one will have the opportunity to pick and choose what is best for the goals that have been established. Every single decision brings forth a result. As students we must choose what will bring us closer to our greatest goal: graduating and starting a successful career.
