What began as the alumni picnic on the lawn has now become Minerpalooza, the official back-to-school party for students, faculty, and staff. Join us this year on August 26 for the 26th anniversary of Minerpalooza.
Kick off the start to another great school year on campus at Miner Welcome, held the first week of classes each semester! This week is dedicated to welcoming all Miners to UTEP. Whether you’re a returning student or brand new to campus, we’ll have a full schedule of activities for you to participate in!
Show off your Miner Pride every Friday by wearing UTEP orange and receive a FREE coffee and a cookie! Orange Fridays are events in which we celebrate and reward the students, faculty, and staff who show off their Miner Pride. Be on the lookout for the Coffee Tour every other week!
Friday Night Flick is a brand new movie series that provides students and community members with the opportunity to watch blockbuster films from the comfort of our own campus! General admission tickets are $3, and $2 for faculty, staff, students, and alumni with valid student ID. Concessions are available on site.
Last Wednesday is UTEP’s newest tradition! Every last Wednesday of the month students gather in the Union Plaza to enjoy tabling by Registered Student Organizations, themed events, food trucks, and a variety of live entertainment!
Up All Night expands on the long-standing UTEP tradition, Midnight Breakfast. In the middle of finals, students are invited to the Union to take part in stress-free and fun activities, enjoy free food and a movie all night long! Up All Night gets bigger with every year with more and more students looking forward to the end of the year celebration!
The UTEP Union Gallery opened in 1969 and has continually served as a cherished location where high-quality exhibitions are showcased. The Union Gallery focuses on presenting temporary exhibits that spread knowledge and appreciation of art by displaying a variety of work from students and other artists that can inspire UTEP and the greater El Paso community.
Get your blanket and lawn chair and join us for FREE movie screenings at UTEP’s Centennial Plaza! Movies on the Lawn is the Office of Student Life’s free summer film series. We invite students and community members alike to attend Movies on the Lawn and enjoy the beautiful weather, available concessions, and blockbuster films.
The International Cultural Festival is a week-long event filled with a variety of culturally immersive activities such as the Food Fair, Film Festival, Lecture Series, Bazaar and Entertainment, Documentary Series, and Learning Series. Students who participate in the International Cultural Festival gain exposure to the world and all it’s cultures through fellow students on campus.
