PASE Orientation Session

Orientation Sessions

The PASE orientations are an excellent opportunity to know firsthand the steps a student must take in order to be admitted to UTEP. The participants of these orientations are:

• English Language Institute
• The Office of Admissions and Recruitment
• Graduate School
• Testing
• Office of International Programs

The English Language Institute offers the opportunity of learning English before beginning a degree. During their presentation they talk about costs and deadlines.

The Office of Admissions and Recruitment and the Graduate School both present information on how to fill out the admissions application as well as what documents need to be submitted along with it, deadlines and processing fees.

The Testing Department offers valuable information about the different types of exams prospect students should pass to be considered for admission as well as placement exams for English and math that must to be taken once admitted.

The Office of International Programs offers a guide on how to fill out the PASE application and Confirmation of Financial Resources. A part of the orientations that both students and parents highly appreciate is where we explain how to obtain a student visa, what documents to prepare for the appointment and what to expect at their visa appointment at the American Consulate.

After each session, both parents and students are offered the opportunity to learn more about UTEP, its history, architecture and the different services it offers to its students by a walking tour of the campus (dependent on size of group and weather).

In order to make the most out of your visit, you can plan ahead of time. Visit our General Planning Schedule for ideas.

Make plans to attend an orientation! You don’t need to schedule, just remember to be on time so as not to miss out on all the valuable information.
