Our community participates in a variety of philanthropic activities throughout the year. Philanthropies are an opportunity to raise and donate funds and other goods to charities.

Greek Week annually includes a philanthropic activity. In 2017, we collected over 500 canned food donations to support the UTEP Food Pantry. Our team also hosted a Blood Drive to help support the Blood Services of El Paso.  In 2015 we collected canned tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House. In 2014 we partnered with Miners for St. Jude to raise money for children with catastrophic illnesses and donated the over $6,000 to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. To raise the funds, the greater majority of our community stayed up all night. Also in 2014 several members of the community donated hair to Locks of Love.

Each fraternity/sorority has a national and/or local philanthropy and hosts activities throughout the year in support of it. See a full list below.
