Multicultural Greek Council

The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is the governing & programming council for our Latino and multicultural fraternities/sororities. The purpose of MGC is to provide programs, and services between for members; to promote the awareness of multicultural diversity at UTEP and the greater community; and to support and promote the works of its member organizations.

Recruitment/Membership Intake
Men & women interested in joining must have a 2.5GPA, be enrolled at UTEP, and have the ability to meet membership expectations. All students are encouraged to visit with our chapters during New Student Orientation, Welcome Week, and MGC Open Houses. For more information contact the MGC President, at

MGC Participation in Educational Seminars

AFLV-West: MGC sends at least two delegates to the Association of Fraternal Leadership & Values (AFLV) West Conference, which is held in San Diego, California each April.

Greek Leadership Days: Each semester MGC chapters & council officers participate in the Greek Leadership Day, which is sponsored by our four governing councils.

MGC On-going Service Projects

Project MOVE: MGC chapters participate in this UTEP day of service

Gift Wrapping: MGC, along with other councils, gathers to wrap gifts donated by the community for charitable organizations.
