Welcome to the University of Texas at El Paso’s Educational Talent Search Program’s web page. Educational Talent Search is one of the TRIO Programs authorized by Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965. The program provides academic, career, college admissions, and financial aid counseling for students wanting and having the potential to succeed in a higher education institution of their choice. Locally, the program assists students at Bowie and Jefferson/Silva High Schools and Guillen and Henderson Middle Schools.
Participants must come from a disadvantaged background and/or be the first generation in their family to graduate from college. Educational Talent Search reaches out to the community to attach the youth to the university. The staff is very excited about motivating youth to achieve their post-secondary goals.
